My older children say this song is “inappropriate”. Can’t imagine why!

A quick quiz:

If you were writing a children’s song and had the choice of getting listeners to:

  1. do a bear walk   OR

  2. walk on their hands and feet with their bottom stuck up in the air

which would you choose?

Yes I know they’re the same thing! Each describes exactly the same movement, but the second option uses the word bottom.

Little boys love the word bottom! They love to say it.  They love to giggle about it.

They. love. it.

And since Little Music Church is big on JOY, naturally I chose OPTION B.

You did too, right?

Because we learn best when we’re having fun.

I challenge you grown-ups to join the children doing that walk too…

It’s just great for the calves!

WATCH Now!

I find some of the best children’s songs touch the hearts of grown-ups long before they reach the kids.

Colin Buchanan (my personal hero) does this brilliantly - many of his songs have had a more profound impact on me than they’ve had on my children (Live In The Gospel, anyone?)

My hope was for Little Music Church songs to do the same.

In winter 2023 I convinced my homeschooling buddies to test out our music

Imagine my delight when one of the mums told me that The Most Excellent Way had not only been stuck in her head for weeks (sorry not sorry!) it had given her a whole new revelation about LOVE.

(The song is inspired by Corinthians chapter 12 and 13, but I’m sure you would have picked that after one listen!)

It’s true.

The most excellent way to live out our lives is to love.

May these songs reach your hearts too!
